About Us
Residential land developer of fine communities since 1985, John E. Ryckeley is truly a visionary. Able to envision beautiful neighborhoods for families where others see only a field or woodlands. Mr. Ryckeley has designed such fine communities in the Fayette County area as Chimney Springs, Ashley Forest and The Woodlands Lake Community. Now he has outdone himself in designing, in intricate detail Fayette County's first Conservation Community, Annelise Park. With family in mind, John designed this community as a place where families can grow together, play together and even retire together.
Mr. Ryckeley of J.R. Development received the 2007 Conservation Excellence Award at the South Metro Development Outlook Conference 2007 held January 30. Ryckeley received this award for his efforts developing Annelise Park. This award is presented annually by The Collaborative Firm, LLC. at the South Metro Development Outlook conference.
Ryckeley clustered the 75 home sites of Annelise Park on his 185-acre property in order to leave 82 acres of dedicated green space, which includes 2.5 miles of heavily wooded walking trails, a century-old pecan orchard and two fishing ponds. Clustering the homes helped Ryckeley work around the property’s natural areas, leaving its creeks, streams, hardwoods and wonderful open spaces for community use. Ryckeley received this award for creating a community which preserves natural areas that contribute to a great quality of life with balanced and meaningful living space for people, animals and plants to co-exist.
